DITA 1.2 Specification Review Assignments

Specification Document, DTD and Schema Reviews
We need to review the written DITA 1.2 specification documents as well as the DTDs and XDSs. The lists below cover the written specification documents. A separate list of doctype shells to be included in DITA 1.2 is available.
Beyond reviews the DITA TC has said that it wants to have at least two users of each feature if the feature is to be included in the approved committee draft.
Volunteer Reviewers and Users Needed
If you are able to volunteer to be a reviewer or a user of one or more sections of the specification, please add your name to the appropriate cell or cells in the tables below. Ideally we are looking for at least two reviewers and two users for each section. More than two would be fine. Reviewers and users can, but don't need to be, the same person.
Review Comments
Reviewers should send their questions and comments:
on the architectural portions of the specification to Gershon Joseph(mailto:gerjosep@cisco.com);
on the language reference portions of the specification to Robert Anderson (mailto:robander@us.ibm.com);
on the DTDs to Robert Anderson (mailto:robander@us.ibm.com); and
on the XSDs to Eric Sirois (mailto:esirois@ca.ibm.com).
Comments may be in whatever form is most convenient for the reviewer (e-mail text, e-mail attachments, revised DITA source, ...). Please be sure to indicate what version of the specifications, DTDs, or XSDs the reviews or comments are based on.
Schedule
- Our goal is to have all of the DITA 1.2 specification documents available for initial review by members of the DITA TC or its sub-committees by the second week of September.
- When sections of the specification become ready for review, announcements will be made on the DITA TC e-mail list.
- Most sections of the language reference portions of the specification are available to be reviewed now (see below).
- We hope to complete the initial reviews by the first week of October.
Draft Language Reference Specification
The language reference sections of the specifications are available for review in .zip archives in several forms:

You'll want to look at the versions that are organized by element type (ditaref-type.chm or langspectocjs/type).
Some of the language reference items contain Draft Comments asking questions about matters that still need to be resolved.

DITA 1.2 Base Architectural Specification
The rewrite of the Base Architectural Specification is now being managed in an Excel file. The reviewer information in this table has been integrated into the Excel spreadsheet. This table can be considered obsolete.
