• Review of the DTDs, XSDs, and language spec topics

  • I consider the review complete, results here: DITA language spec topics for review.

  • I posted a list of issues and provided some updated content to R. Anderson -

  • We could use better examples, as well as some extended descriptions.

• How many variations to include in the 1.2 distribution?

  • When you consider the various combinations of topic types, map types, and domains, there ends up quite a set of possible configurations for learning. See - http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/dita/200807/msg00004.html.

  • Question for us to decide: Do we want to provide pre-set configurations for generic learning and training, SW learning and training, and MI learning and training?

• Next week: Review Sample content, overview, and assumptions topics

  • I posted a new zip - DITA 1.2 Learning Objects.

  • Unzip, and the out folder contains the output html for the sample learning objects, and an all_lo_samples.chm.
  • DITA source topics are in the sample folder.
  • We need to review and revise the following, for inclusion in the 1.2 architecture specification:

    • Working assumptions topic from language spec

    • Overview topic from language spec

    • The four learning objects.
      • Prob Unstructuredxxx.dita.
      • Bene Structuredxxx.dita.
      • WHYDITALearningxxx.dita.
      • Learn Spec.dita.

    • (Reuben) Why DITA? Benefits of separating form from presentation is paramount. Need to be sold on this first.
    • It would really help to see good examples of the end product.
