1. Martin to update proposal for issue 27; David and Martin discussed and agreed on the need to separate authorization for a change vs. an actual change or change proposal
    2. Martin: Raise separate issue to address containership - how to associate a set of change requests to a 'parent' or container - splitting it out of issue 27.
    3. Nick & Jim to review IBM change management link types in commonly installed process packages, and add terms and desirable support levels to issue 28.

    4. Martin to do the same for PTC.

Edited chat transcript from room: oslc-ccm 2016-09-22 GMT-08:00

[07:02] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): David volunteered as scribe.

[07:02] Nick Crossley (IBM): List of attendees: Brian Steele (Persistent), David Honey (Persistent/IBM), Jim Amsden (IBM), Martin Sarabura (PTC), Nick Crossley (IBM)

[07:03] Nick Crossley (IBM): Review minutes of previous meeting at

[07:04] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Minutes approved.

[07:05] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Actions from previous meeting. Martin to update issue 27 - done.

[07:05] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): New issue raised.

[07:07] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Review relationship types. Martin has listed ones used in PTC.

[07:08] Nick Crossley (IBM): Config mgmt issues 14, 21, 22, and 30

[07:08] David Honey (Persistent/IBM):

[07:11] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Changing history to make previous baseline point to earlier baseline when a baseline is deleted was regarded as undesirable. Nick updated the text to say that clients should be prepared to deal with broken links.

[07:12] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Implementations are free to leave a skeleton resource to preserve provenance, but this is optional.

[07:16] Nick Crossley (IBM): Vote to accept proposal with the addition of a sentence: "Servers should add the property oslc:archived=TRUE on a reduced form of a partially deleted baseline."

[07:17] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Jim seconded

[07:17] David Honey (Persistent/IBM):

[07:21] Nick Crossley (IBM): If a configuration context is not provided or implied, the server MAY provide a default configuration, or the request MAY fail. A provider MAY include an
oslc_config:configurationSettings
link in the OSLC Service resource, referencing an
oslc:ConfigurationsSettings
resource. That resource MAY contain an
oslc_config:defaultConfiguration
property whose value is the URI of the default configuration to be used by that service. An
oslc_config:defaultConfiguration
property with an
rdf:nil
value implies there is no default configuration, so requests with no context MUST fail. Servers MAY support a PUT on
oslc:ConfigurationsSettings
resource as a way to set the default configuration. Servers MAY provide other ways for users to set the default configuration.

[07:22] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Nick: Will change text to indicate MAY reference a single configuration (as a default).

[07:24] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Vote on proposal above with correction.

[07:24] Nick Crossley (IBM): Vote to accept current text plus clarification that there can be only one.

[07:24] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Jim seconded.

[07:27] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Nick's comment of 29th Aug: See minutes of meeting on July 14 - we are not convinced this proposal is sound.

[07:34] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Example: OSLC simple query. Response could contain info for multiple resources and several data providers.

[07:34] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): What context would be returned?

[07:35] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Defer the issue rather than reject?

[07:36] Nick Crossley (IBM): Vote to defer this issue.

[07:36] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Martin seconded.

[07:38] Nick Crossley (IBM): While navigating between resources, resources or links of certain types may indicate that a different context is to be used when following links from that resource. Any such semantics should be defined by the specifications for such resource and link types; none are defined by this specification.

[07:39] David Honey (Persistent/IBM):

[07:40] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Each Activity resource: MUST be persisted by a server (including over a restart) for a minimum of 5 minutes after completion SHOULD be persisted after completion for 5 minutes plus the length of time the Activity was active

[07:49] Nick Crossley (IBM): Nick to reword and expand to cover deletion of activities

[07:50] Nick Crossley (IBM): Minimal retention time should be 24 hours

[07:50] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Nick: Will update proposal so we can vote in later meeting.

[07:52] David Honey (Persistent/IBM):

[07:55] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Martin: Ordering of children?
