Chat transcript from room: oslc-ccm 2017-08-10 GMT-08:00

[07:03] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): David volunteered as scribe.

[07:04] Nick Crossley (IBM): Review previous minutes at https://wiki.oasis-open.org/oslc-ccm/Meetings/Telecon2017.06.01

[07:04] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Minutes accepted

[07:10] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Structure of the whole change management spec - each statement SHOULD, MUST etc is in a separate numbered section. Considerable work required to change it to a more prose style.

[07:11] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Unlikely to develop an automated test suite to validate each numbered statement.

[07:11] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Config management spec did not follow that style.

[07:13] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): There is an existing test framework developed by Steve and Sam. Was originally required for W3C. But is not a requirement for OASIS.

[07:23] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): There are other OASIS specs that do not have numbered statements for each MUST/SHOULD.

[07:24] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): David + Martin: Can't see a requirement for numbered sections.

[07:25] Jim Amsden: Proposal: The creation of individual sub-sections for each identifiable normative clause is optional. There is no requirement that these sub-sections must be created in order to support some testing and/or reporting framework.

[07:25] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Correction: Structure of the whole change management spec has a mix of styles Some places have each statement SHOULD, MUST etc in a separate numbered section. Considerable work required to change it to a consistent numbered section style.

[07:26] Jim Amsden: The creation of individual sub-sections for each identifiable normative clause is optional. There is no requirement that these sub-sections must be created in order to support some testing and/or reporting framework. The Change Management specification will not provide these sub-sections for each normative clause.

[07:27] Jim Amsden: The creation of individual sub-sections for each identifiable normative clause is optional. There is no requirement that these sub-sections must be created in order to support some testing and/or reporting framework. The Change Management and Configuration Management specifications will not provide these sub-sections for each normative clause.

[07:28] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Jim: Change management spec is ready to go to public committee spec draft.

[07:30] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Proposal in core spec TC meeting was to wind up the CCM TC and move its business and the domains TC to a core TC.

[07:34] Nick Crossley (IBM): Propose that the Change Management working draft be submitted for adoption by the Domains TC, and removed as a work product of this TC.

[07:35] Jim Amsden: Second

[07:37] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Potential issue - what happens to Intellectual Property rights?

[07:40] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Carried.

[07:43] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Jim will talk to Chet about OASIS procedural issues resolved.

[07:44] Nick Crossley (IBM): Domains TC still needs to vote to accept Change Management - meets next week.

[07:45] Nick Crossley (IBM): Chairs need to send an email describing this reorganization of work products to all members.

[07:45] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OSLCCCM-36

[07:52] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): First part: oslc_config:openChangesets LDPC for a stream. POST creates a change set for the stream. DELETE on change set removes it. No objections received to 1st part.

[07:53] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): 2nd part: oslc_config:deliveredChangesets LDPC on streams and baselines.

[08:00] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): LDPC on baseline is delta since previous baseline.

[08:01] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): What if user wants to know if a change set was delivered to a sprint - could be many baselines as part of automated builds. Iterating over them with separate queries might be inefficient.

[08:01] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Nick will email out TC members asking for review.

[08:01] David Honey (Persistent/IBM): Meeting adjourned.
